History of Cebu Medical Supply, Inc.

The late Modesto A. Gallardo was one of the pioneers in the Visayan region of the Philippines in retail and wholesale trade of medical supplies and equipment. The company was established in October 1954 under a single proprietor setup. 

Modesto, along with his wife, Felisa Rosal, opened their first office and display store near the old Cebu Coliseum at Sanciangko St., Cebu City, Philippines.  Initially catering to private hospitals and practitioners, the company expanded its operations to various government agencies in the province of Cebu and its neighboring areas in Visayas and Mindanao.

The 70's brought a lot of changes for the company. The single proprietorship evolved into a corporation as Modesto's children had grown eager to join the family business. With its new image, the company moved to its new location at 0232 Osmena Boulevard, Cebu City, Cebu, Philippines.      

The 80's ushered the years of aggressive expansion for the company. A new branch office was opened at their own building situated at Gallardo Building, General Maxilom Avenue, Cebu City, Cebu, Philippines. Other offices were opened in different key cities like Manila, Cagayan de Oro, Zamboanga and Dipolog. In the next decade, the company saw the need to cater to growing communities, the most recent of which being Davao City.

With the commitment and enthusiasm brought in by its new incorporation, it has added several product lines and now offers services such as maintenance and repair of various brands of hospital equipment. The company also boasts of its impeccable business relationship with the various hospitals and agencies under the Department of Health. It counts as its clientele several private hospitals and practitioners, government services entities and a number of non- government organizations.

Being one of the more stable companies in this premiere city in the south, it looks forward to  the  next  years  of  the  new  millennium in  serving  the  community  with  its products and services.  Since  2003, the company has  expanded  and  started selling  new and used  ambulances to hospitals, schools and the private sector.
